I'm a life-long resident, so I can give you info about the area, from Apple Valley to Centerburg, from Fredericktown to Mount Vernon. Before You Start Looking For Your New Home:
- Check your credit rating. Straighten out any errors before its too late.
- Determine a comfortable monthly budget for your new purchase, including down payment and monthly payment, and whether you want to include insurance and property taxes in your payment.
- Find a loan program that meets your needs and get pre-qualified (preferably pre-approved). I can suggest two or three local lenders that we have worked well with in the past. (I'm wary of many unknown out-of-town lenders, or internet lenders...sometimes their deals aren't that great after all hidden fees are thrown in.
- Choose a REALTOR® that you trust and who understands your needs. I make home buying FUN...and will work hard FOR YOU!
- Determine what neighborhood best matches your needs.
- Identify important features you need your new home to have, as well as features you definitely DON'T want.
- Lender fees include charges for loan processing, underwriting, preparation and establishing an escrow account.
- Third-party fees include some fees, but in our market most inspections and title search and title insurance fees are the seller's expense.
- Escrow and interest fees include homeowner's insurance, loan interest, real estate taxes, and occasionally private mortgage insurance.
